SunPro® VCL 240 Industrial Grade
Our SunPro® VCL 240 Industrial Grade FSK-BA insulation is mainly used under roof decking, under attic rafters, over existing attic insulation, in floors, walls and crawl spaces, and in industrial and commercial buildings to block radiant heat coming into house through the roof during the summer and retain indoor heat generated during the winter. Also used as a moisture vapor barrier in air conditioning ductworks and cold rooms. It is used as packing material for big machine to prevent moisture and radiant heat to contact machine.
Features and Benefits:
- Heavy duty to provide superior edge tear resistance to prevent ripping during installation
- Self-supporting high strength product that can be installed on spans up to 1220mm without support
- High density two-way fiberglass reinforcement for greater strength
- Fire retardant and will not support combustion or the spread of flames
- Highly reflective to enhance lighting conditions
- Low emissivity to limit heat loss
- Manufactured with pure aluminium foil to provide an effective barrier against vapour
Application
SunPro® VCL 240 is recommended for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications as a-
- Thermal insulating material
- Reflects heat at the source
- Heat barrier for all types of roofs
- Vapour barrier in the lining and lagging of exposed air-conditioning ducts, pipes and vessels
- Facing for building insulation blankets for metal deck roofing
- Barrier against moisture, water vapour, heat and dust penetration when overlapped and sealed with tape.
Installation
- Starting at the bottom of the roof, install the SunPro® VCL240 horizontally. These furring strips are very important because they create an air gap between the radiant barrier and the metal roof. Without this air gap the heat will simply conduct right on through to the attic.
- Install with a 150mm overlap between runs, with each higher run lapping over the layer below. The product must be installed in such a way to prevent water from pooling.
- SunPro® VCL240 Industrial Grade may be installed across spans up to 1.2 mtr without the need of a supporting mesh.
- To be effective minimum air gap of 40mm adjacent to at least one reflective foil face.
- Aluminium foil is susceptible to alkali attack and therefore should not come in contact with wet concrete
